I love this restaurant being French I recommend to go there, I totally validate the concept but I would like you to add if possible the quiche Lorraine it is a cult dish of France thank you keep it up
Wanted to love this place because french cuisine is a fav. Vibes are great, very charming spot. We got the duck and the namesake dish, which is a boiled dinner. Ample servings, just nothing special for the price. Our server was attentive and professional, but couldn't help with drink recs because they were under 21. I picked a cocktail that i didn't end up caring for, but that's kind of my fault for trying something new under the circumstances.
Now I understand why Julia Childs loved Pot au Feu so much. This restaurant is the next best thing to dining in Paris, France. From the French Onion cheese melting over, the large portion of Patè (can be shared with 4 ppl), to the rich in flavor entrees, and ending with one of their famous mousse dessert, everything is as it should be for the best French cuisine experience here. Take the time to look at all the French decor around the restaurant too. And I save the best for last. Thank you to the whole Pot au Feu staff for the best French dining experience by far.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Providence! The atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. Attentive service and each dish from appetizer, main course, to desert was delicious.
Delightful experience - delicious country style French dishes in a cozy setting. The owner, Bob, is very knowledgeable about food and also super passionate about New England history. So we ate well and learned a lot :) The service was also top notch - personable and attentive.
Bob Burke has kept this place in tip top shape. I remember eating in the salon years ago as a child, but it won't take me long to return. Our server was magnificent and even though I burned a menu (ooops!)she assured me that everyone does it- which is the true.
Quite possibly the best restaurant I have ever been to. Me, my brother and my fiancee came here while we were in town for a convention. The service was impeccable and the champagne delicious. We had escargot and pate trio for starters and a nice plain salad before dinner. I had the steak frites and it was cooked perfectly with an amazing sauce. My brother had a duck / sausage dish that was like a casserole and my fiance enjoyed the Pot au Feu and it was simply outstanding with amazing meats and phenomenal broth. The owner even came by to ask how we were liking our meal. I'd give this place six stars if I could.
Pot au Feu is a classic French restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is very good. Had the wild mushroom soup which was superb and the coquilles St Jacques which was very good. We also had the duck, it's a very traditional duck in a raspberry sauce. The duck was excellent, a reminder to myself to order that next time instead of the coquilles.
